Description

We are looking for a dedicated Paralegal out of family law to join our clients' team located in Westfield, New Jersey. This role involves assisting attorneys in various aspects of case management and preparation, with a focus on organizing and indexing discovery materials and drafting pleadings.

Responsibilities:

• Review and organize documents obtained through discovery processes

• Develop and maintain systems for efficiently organizing discovery materials

• Collaborate with attorneys to ensure all relevant documents are properly categorized and accessible for case preparation

• Create detailed indexes for discovery materials, including documents, photographs, and other evidence

• Utilize indexing software and databases to create comprehensive and searchable indexes

• Assist attorneys in drafting various legal documents, including complaints, answers, motions, and responses

• Conduct legal research to support the drafting process and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

• Review and revise drafts based on feedback from attorneys and ensure all necessary information is accurately included.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a paralegal or in a legal support role preferred.

• Proficiency in legal research and writing.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Familiarity with legal discovery processes and procedures.

• Proficiency in using indexing software and legal databases is a plus.
