GE Healthcare Software Engineer in Waukesha, Wisconsin

Job Description Summary

The team developing industry leading CT scanners is looking for highly motivated software engineers to join them to develop the next generation of CT scanners.

You will be working on CT scan data acquisition using state-of-the-art compute and software platforms.

Job Description

In this role you will:

  • Work with a team to design, implement, test features and services related to high performance data storage and retrieval.

  • Continuously expand technical knowledge, keep abreast of emerging software technologies, and apply them to the product software

  • Apply principles of SDLC and Lean methodologies to deliver high quality, secured, and scalable software modules

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in Computer Engineering

  • Experience in OOP, design patterns, C++ Experience developing software in a Linux environment, familiarity with command line tools, troubleshooting etc.

  • Familiarity with Git version controlling system

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in IPC, Microservices, SOA, Containers, REST APIs

  • Experience with Python and shell scripting

  • Experience in Agile, CI/CD

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong problem solving abilities
