CACI is seeking a NOSC Network Monitoring Tools (NMT) Engineer to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Network Operations Support Center (NOSC) Infrastructure team.

The NOSC provides 24x7x365 support to perform proactive and continuous monitoring of the DHS networks. As an NMT Engineer, you will work with a team of engineers who provided provide support for the overall design, implementation, testing and maintenance of the Network Monitoring Tools, are responsible for network fault management, performance and configuration management including alerting, reporting functions for the entire DHS HSEN network infrastructure, and manage user accounts, provide reports, and assist with various projects as defined by the program.

The NMT team works closely with Tier 1, Program Support, Government Watch Officer, and Tier 2, and Tier 3 Operations Teams.

The work location for this position is the Nebraska Ave Complex (NAC) in Washington, DC, currently with telework authorized with a signed telework plan agreement. The candidate must live in the National Capital Region (NCR) commuting area (Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia area) and be able to commute to the NAC when required.

About the Role:

As a Network Management Tools Engineer, you will:

  • Work independently on assigned projects and work collaboratively with a team of Network Management Tools professionals, ensuring optimal team tools operations.

  • Work with subject-matter expert (SME) for a wide subset of tools and application including ScienceLogic, CyberArk, HPNA, ASA-AnyConnect, Axonius, Verisign, Akamai, Cloudflare, Infoblox, NIOS, Cisco routers, and switches.

  • Provide expert setup, configuration, support, troubleshooting, usage guidance, and training to our engineering staff for supported tools and infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with team members from all parts of the development lifecycle, from development to operations to security, solving technical challenges, and providing and receiving guidance and mentorship.

  • Enhance existing or newly implemented tools to provide continuous delivery of systems and reporting.

  • Work closely with management and technical teams on understanding the overall direction/scope of various projects and translate those into effective processes and artifacts.

  • Be familiar with various circuit types and requirements for installations.

  • Have a strong understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 addressing.

  • Provide effective solutions to complex Network Management engineering problems.

  • Experience in DNS, Cisco IOS, Spectrum, ScienceLogic, HPNA, VPN, and Network Administration

  • Understanding of project methodologies and practices.

  • Ability to multi-task with numerous actives running concurrently.

  • Experience as a Network Monitoring Tools Engineer.

  • Familiarity/Knowledge with NMT tools like Solarwinds, Axonius, Dynatrace, Splunk, ServiceNow Design/Flow, Configuration Management and Methodology (DATABASE QUERIES)

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of related work experience (Equivalencies include High School Diploma/GED + 12 Years, or Associate degree + 8 Years, or a Master’s degree+ 3 Years)

  • Experience with development, maintenance, and on-going actions related to continuous integration, automation and development of network tools.

  • Experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) Environment.

  • Experience in DNS, Cisco IOS, Spectrum, ScienceLogic, HPNA, VPN, and Network Administration

  • US citizenship with the ability to secure and retain a DHS Compartmental security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Network+, ITIL Foundations, CCNA, Network+, CCENT, Security+, and/or Azure Fundamentals Certifications

  • Experience with DHS HSEN (Homeland Security Enterprise Network).

  • Project Management Certified (CompTIA PM+, CAPM, PMP, etc..).

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to relate effectively with program employees, government/client representatives, and internal organizational functional representatives.

  • A collaborative, team-centric attitude and enthusiasm that encourages outreach and partnership.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and requirements simultaneously in a diverse and dynamic environment with short-notice and under high pressure in high visibility situations.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$64,400 - $135,100
