POSITION OVERVIEW

The Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office is a support component within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). DEFTEC Corporation is seeking a Jr. Intelligence Analyst who will be responsible for executing complex in-depth Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) threat analysis to produce products (papers, presentations, and reports) to inform senior DHS leadership, DHS Components and other federal, state and local homeland security customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and understand WMD Homeland threats and provide recommendations to respond to, mitigate and disrupt such threats.

  • Serve as production or overall author for individual reports and projects.

  • Supporting customer efforts developing and fostering relationships to facilitate coordination and collaboration with DHS and other USG/Intelligence Community partners at the analyst level.

  • Provide briefings to the Assistant Secretary and other DHS partners around the United States.

  • Conduct open source and classified research on threats to the Homeland and partners

  • Responsible for supporting customer efforts developing and fostering relationships with DHS and other USG/Intelligence Community partners at the analyst level

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required Qualifications:

  • B.A/B.S. degree in relevant field

  • 3 years' experience in intelligence analysis

  • Active TS Clearance

  • Must be able to respond promptly to requirements and tasks with stringent deadlines in a demanding and evolving environment.

  • Expert working with Microsoft Office Suite products including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with CBRN/WMD-related intelligence preferred.

  • Experience supporting homeland security missions.

  • Demonstrated outreach analysis and engagement support in the Homeland security mission space.
