PURPOSE

The Client Technologies Analyst, under general supervision, performs complex and non-routine specialized client technology support functions, such as troubleshooting, analysis, research, debugging, and problem-solving.

LEVEL 1

RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Area 1: Operations

Percent Effort: 100%

  • Diagnoses and repairs hardware/software failures and conflicts. Installs, upgrades, and configures hardware and software. Facilitates new computer setups, including application and data transfers, and user account information.

  • Utilizes complex software tools to maintain, configure, define security, and monitors desktop computer life cycle. Establishes configuration baselines and maintains systems within defined parameters. Monitors and maintains system security. Provides protection and recovery support for client data.

  • Tracks and assists in the coordination of equipment repair work order assignments and provides detailed work records, which outlines the history of tests, performance problems, and repairs for each piece of equipment.

  • Attends training, assists in researching, testing, and disseminating operation instructions. Assists with the evaluation of new technologies to determine their applicability to clients’ needs.

  • Provides consultative and technical services, in general, as a qualified manufacturer's sales representative.

  • Assists in the training and coordination of tasks for student workers.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    LEVEL 2

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Functional Area 1: Operations

    Percent Effort: 45%

  • Installs, upgrades, and configures complex and multiplatform personal computing devise (PCD) hardware and software.

  • Administers large audio-video systems, including FusionRV. Designs and implements audio-video systems. Installs and configures audio-video systems. Provides technical oversight of audio-video system testing and applications and conducts system performance analyses.

  • Troubleshoots and repairs complex hardware and software for audio-video systems. Troubleshoots and repairs configuration problems. Troubleshoots routine network or connectivity problems. Evaluates and follows through on issues and problems until resolved.

    Functional Area 2: Operations / Research

    Percent Effort: 30%

  • Researches, recommends, specifies, and plans for audio video systems hardware and software purchases in support of clients’ overall goals. Provides management and user reports, progress summaries, and system utilization reports.

  • Participates with management in planning, directing, and coordinating operational and procedural matters to meet goals and objectives. Reviews the accuracy of documentation of audio video systems and support methods and procedures.

  • Implements new technology deployments and system integration testing. Equips and supports employees to successfully adopt change in order to drive organizational success and outcomes.

    Functional Area 3: Support

    Percent Effort: 15%

  • Supports Presidential and other special events for campus including audio video requirements gathering, event planning, support plan, and running audio video equipment for the event.

  • On call rotation for escalated issues that require support after hours. Work may require evening or weekend work depending on the time of year and volume of work needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Functional Area 4: Other

    Percent Effort: 10%

  • Assists project leader with developing work plans and time schedules for projects, including outlining phases and identifying personnel and system equipment requirements.

  • May coordinate the technical activities of a small project team. Assists and mentors’ other employees in resolving various issues.

    LEVEL 1

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Four (4) months of related experience.

  • Additional experience may be considered as a substitution for the minimum education requirement:

  • High School Diploma & Four (4) years of experience and Four (4) months of related experience.

  • Associates degree and Two (2) years and (4) months of related experience.

    LEVEL 2

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.

  • Three years of related experience.

  • Additional experience/education may be used as a substitute for the minimum education/experience requirement.

  • Associate's Degree and Five (5) years or related experience.

  • Master's degree and One (1) years of related experience.

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  • Knowledge of advanced analysis, troubleshooting, problem-solving, client relations skills, requirement assessment and analysis, project management methodology, context and interrelationships, and proficiency of the Information Technology Interface Library (ITIL).

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

    SALARY $45,000 - $48,000 Annually ( Dependent upon education and experience.)

  • $3,750 - $4,000 Monthly
