Google Head of Corporate Communications in Singapore

Google will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require Google's sponsorship of a visa.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, policy or public affairs roles.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in a people management, supervision, or team leadership role.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

As a member of the Global Communications and Public Affairs team, you will work cross-functionally to help communicate with journalists and other thought leaders; devise specific communications materials and campaigns based on an understanding of media's interests.

You will help to build communications plans and materials to inform and educate users, partners, opinion leaders, and policymakers about Google's products, policies, our corporate culture, and approach. You will work collaboratively with a range of internal stakeholders and provide counsel to different parts of the organization on communication strategies.We help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders--and our own employees--about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. You are quick-witted, entrepreneurial and intellectually curious. To succeed in this role, you are willing to try new things and can manage numerous projects with tight deadlines. Things happen quickly at Google, and to do great work, you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally with partners across PR, Communications, Marketing, Product, and beyond.

  • Drive corporate communications activities primarily through supporting and counseling country PR teams, and in alignment with other regional teams, across a range of corporate issues and topics.

  • Collaborate with Google Business, Public Policy, Legal, and Trust and Safety teams to create proactive communications strategies and handle reactive media inquiries to convey Google’s point of view and key benefits of our products and services.

  • Coordinate and facilitate interviews and develop briefing materials to prepare key spokespeople for cross-organizational communications, coaching executives on PR and external communications.

  • Craft narratives, develop written materials, and content, including story pitches, messaging, blog posts and social assets, Q&As, presentations, and speeches. Provide advice to company executives for media interactions and presentations.

  • Manage a team that delivers the above work across a range of corporate issues and topics.
