Job Title : Windows Administrator

Location : Pune, India

About This Role:

Comscore is seeking a skilled Windows Administrator with 1-3 years of relevant experience to join its world-class Infrastructure Engineering team. The right candidate will provide essential support for comScore critical infrastructure, utilities and core services. The candidate will work with development and business assets throughout the company to gather requirements, provide architecture level advice, and assist in implementation of software services.

What You'll Do:

  • Daily administration and operation of Windows servers in a large enterprise environment

  • Fulfill requests from related departments, including Service Desk, Information Security, Internal Audit, Legal, Compliance and Human Resources, to provide information and resources in a timely and professional manner

  • Manage infrastructure operations for enterprise and for application teams: this includes server infrastructure, server and VM configurations and storage.

  • Work with the Windows Engineering team under minimal supervision to identify and resolve issues, manage servers and system services, and provide root cause analysis of issues

  • Maintain servers and core systems at peak efficiency and high availability.

  • Provide support to application teams for these areas and ensure that they are properly maintained.

  • Work with Development teams to create and manage server configurations, including support for hosted applications.

  • Promptly responds to help requests from Development teams; responds to and solves system alerts.

  • Automates routine tasks, such as patching, service restarts and data volume refreshes.

What You'll Need:

  • Experience with Office 365 (O365) and/or Microsoft 365 (M365) environments

  • Knowledge of Exchange Environment

  • Proven technical knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory, User provisioning, Decommissioning, Distribution list, security groups

  • Hands-on ability to maintain/upgrade existing systems and design/deploy new technologies while adhering to best practices and business level objectives.

  • Ability to work in a demanding 24/7 environment.

  • Have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and possess the ability to complete complex projects with minimal direction/supervision.

  • Strong customer service, prioritization, and communication skills to enable collaboration with application teams and support teams.

  • Ability and comfort with requesting guidance and direction where resolution is not clear or where solutions have potential business impact.

  • Experience with Microsoft Server 2012 R2 through Server 2022.

  • Familiarity with the following:

  • DNS

  • Patching

  • Exchange Migration, Server Migration

  • Scripting and CLI operations: PowerShell and Terraform preferred

  • Microsoft Intune

  • Microsoft SQL Server

  • Quest tools, including KACE, Recovery Manager and Active Roles Server

  • Messaging defense solutions: Barracuda and ProofPoint preferred

  • Office 365 (O365) and/or Microsoft 365 (M365) environments, including Azure AD or Entra ID.

Shift Timing:

The regular hours for this position will cover a combination of business hours in the US and India – typically 2pm-11pm IST. Occasionally, later hours may be required for meetings with teams in other parts of the world. Additionally, for the first 4-6 weeks of onboarding and training, US Eastern time hours (IST -9:30) will be required.
