Job Summary
We are looking for a Lucidwork Search Tech Lead to design, implement, and testing solutions in Lucidworks Fusion Search Engine. This position will be full-time and remote.
Job Description
What You’ll Do
Understand and leverage technology stack of Adobe products (AEM, Analytics. Mobile, Target); eCommerce Solutions (Hybris); and Fusion Search Engine and future technologies
Liaison between Digital Architects and developers to translate strategies into robust solutions
Work with a variety of vendor platforms and custom developed solutions.
Demonstrate ability to adapt and learn emerging technologies in this space. Challenge self and team to innovate and keep up with market trends.
Recommend and influence new evolving design, architecture, standards and methods with stability, maintainability and scalability in mind.
Show case expertise in various methods of data indexing and search optimization to provide faster search results.
What You'll Need
Required:
Around 10+ years of IT experience in IT developing Search solutions (Solr/Endeca etc.) and minimum of proven experience (3+ years) working with Lucidworks Fusion.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or Engineering OR equivalent experience and knowledge required.
Search architecture experience using Lucidworks Fusion, Solr, Zookeeper.
Strong in Java, Spring, Hibernate, JSON, XML, Spring RESTful Services, as well as general search engine concepts such as SEO, Web Crawler configuration, Parametric Search, ETL Processes, and Shell Scripting.
Strong understanding of search technologies, including information retrieval, natural language processing, and relevance tuning.
Proficiency in Java and related frameworks for developing custom components within Lucidworks Fusion.
Experience with distributed computing, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Git).
Good in building Complex pipeline configuration, Content Acquisition Framework, Content Assembler, Solr Presentation API and Assembler APIs
Able to perform search tuning exercise and work with business unit to modify and improve upon existing search interfaces.
Must be able to communicate effectively to peers, scrum team members, and other IT team developers.
Good knowledge on source management tools and branching strategy (Subversion, GitHub, code branching and code merge strategy)
Technical Agility to quickly adopt emerging trends and support new platforms implementations
Excellent organization, verbal / written communication. Must be able to build relationships and communicate technology direction effectively to peers, developers and other IT teams.
Must be able to occasionally travel worldwide and flex daily work schedule to allow for time-zone differences for global team communications.
Preferred:
Lucid works Fusion certification.
Experience with other search platforms like Endeca, Elasticsearch, Solr, or similar technologies.
Experience in data science.
Knowledge of machine learning techniques for search relevance improvement.
Previous experience in leading technical teams or projects.
Physical Demands
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
