Location: Prague is preferred location but open to all locations across EMEA

Role summary

EMEA Deliver Analytics Data Infrastructure Lead owns both strategy and significant portion of heavy-lifting around EMEA MD Deliver data-product, pilots most complex data-transformation solutions managed by analytics team using MS Azure DataBricks, MS Azure ML and other tools. This role also manages heavy lifting related to some of the data transformations and data input, such as automation of data ingestion through PowerApps and other tools, all of those also connected with our Azure data-lake. It is essential that this person will have very strong Project Management and Portfolio Management skills, be comfortable working under pressure and challenging deadlines, reporting to senior leadership. To be successful in this role, you would need to keep pulse on data-engineering industry evolution to actively bring long-term viable solutions. This role requires professional with proven record of leadership around software development, strong technical skills including coding and excellent communications skills towards all levels of organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead data transformation strategy, design, trends, evolution (or both reporting and data-science) in close partnership with JJT, DDS and other teams

  • Act as MS Azure Databricks, Alteryx, MS PowerApps superuser

  • Lead advanced Python/R coding capability, act as superuser

  • Lead advanced PowerBI data transformation solution, act as superuser

  • Lead advanced data transformation build (MS Azure Databricks) including its full documentation

  • Lead and coordinate overall data transformation automation

  • Design and deliver data quality control solution and overview

  • Drive data transformation and systems landscape documentation (both technical and users)

  • Design and deliver access management advanced solution

  • Own analytics budget preparation and control, closely linked to our data-product strategy – reliable and independent maintenance of financial agenda related to our analytics budget

  • Project management, change management related to assigned projects – proven records of leading complex development projects and managing complex escalations

  • Strong communication skills – talk simple about complex technical topics

Qualifications

Experience and Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree is essential; preferred in a related subject eg, Data Science, Analytics or similar.

Data Infrastructure Lead should have knowledge and experience in following areas with the main emphasis on Business Knowledge, Data and technology and Analytics:

LEAD

  • Project and portfolio management, especially requirements gathering and software development project execution, proven track of record leading data-engineering project

  • Agile and scrum – able to fast frame problem, form SWAT team and efficiently lead it, comfortable with working under pressure and reporting to senior leadership

  • Time management and prioritization – independently plan and execute work based on gathered requirements

  • Information management – effectively share information about assigned topics with team and network

  • Problem solving techniques, brainstorming – ability to frame problem in complex environment, translate complex technical information into simple language, lead cross-functional teams

BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE

  • Solid knowledge of EMEA MD Physical flows, Business model, Business priorities, Data available

  • Working knowledge of main Deliver KPIs

DATA and TECHNOLOGY

  • Advanced working knowledge of data-transformation tools such as Alteryx, SQL, MS Azure DataBricks

  • Advanced working knowledge of using one of the coding languages (R, Python, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of using GenAI to speed up coding and solution work

  • Working knowledge of complex PowerApps data transformations

  • Working knowledge of complex PowerBI visualizations

  • Expected to show-case real world solutions during selection process

ANALYTICS

  • Working knowledge and experience with Diagnostics analytics, Pareto analysis, Root cause analysis and Descriptive statistics

  • Ability to show this methodology applied on real world examples

Alongside these analytics specific competencies, this role is part of virtual team so ability to work in virtual environment efficiently is essential as well as excellent level of written and spoken English, ability to clearly form ideas and share those as well as customer centric approach and life-long learning attitude.
