Position Summary

We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated Data Specialist to join our fast-paced team out of Vancouver, WA. The Data Specialist will have a primary responsibility of evaluating and upkeep of data quality (integrity, timeliness, accuracy, and completeness) in our ERP and supporting systems. This position will also include Production Scheduling Process, Access DB modeling/execution, EDI Support, and SOP/Process documentation (including metadata where applicable) for teams' core functions. To succeed in this role, you should have a passion for data, as well as an understanding of adoption and execution methods of data standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the company as data steward following approved data rules and regulations
  • Audit master files on a regular basis to proactively identify and correct issues.
  • Entry and validation of customer information, products, pricing, and routes
  • Be able to interpret, validate and correct errors during processes.
  • Leverage analytical tools to identify, research, and correct/update data discrepancies, duplicates, and outdated records.
  • Implementation of EDI data standards; as well as troubleshooting data errors within transmission.
  • Works as liaison between departments to ensure data requests are completed while maintaining company data standards.
  • Daily communication with cross-functional teams to ensure necessary updates are completed within time constraints of daily scheduled jobs.
  • Perform root cause analysis on issues presented and solve all related issues.
  • Continual learning and exposure to Fabric and other reporting solutions.
  • Understanding of datasets and basic report structure to assist with troubleshooting.

Preferred Education/Experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent. College level education a plus or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Critical Skills and Expertise

Advanced level of Microsoft Excel and its functions and formulas.
