As Financial Analyst, you will have overall responsibility for liaising with CBS, coordinating month-end closing and reporting processes. Responsible for ensuring the accurate preparation of account analysis, including bank reconciliations and accruals analysis. Primary focus on 1) Month-end closing processes; 2) Monthly monitoring of NVO’s (T&E and Auto) spending vs. Budget & LE’s. Prepare monthly variance analysis and commentaries. 3) other business related tasks such as P2P (Procure to Pay) issue resolution, GR / IR reconciliation, SOX design and effectiveness, etc.

Responsibilities:

Financial Closing Process - Coordinate the month end closing process:

  • Coordinate pre-closing & closing tasks. Prepare and distribute local closing calendar.

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of journal entries by CBS

  • Coordinate the preparation of the monthly closing deck for presentation to Division

  • Review Balance Sheet (Working Capital), and GL accounts reconciliation, Cash Flow variance analysis as part of the closing deck

  • Participate in the Intercompany reconciliation

Preparation, analysis and reporting:

  • Local BS accounts reconciliation

  • CBS BS account reconciliation and clearing review. First level approval

  • GR / IR clearing

Local NVO’s - Travel & Entertainment and Auto:

  • Prepare and maintain an NVO’s tracker for Budget & LE’s. Discuss with Budget owners actual results and accruals on a quarterly basis.

  • Maintain lease vehicle database

Coupon Administration:

  • Liaison with Marketing and 3rd party clearing house

  • Liability analysis (3rd party report vs internal financial records)

  • Coupon spend plan consolidation

  • Actual vs Estimate variance analysis

Other Finance Functions:

  • P2P Issue Resolution (CBS and local PO owners)

  • Treasury activities support (ETC loan, Cash forecast, Bank attestation, etc)

  • Government reporting (Whole Sales survey, Stewardship, etc)

  • SOX Design Review and Effectiveness

  • Other ad hoc

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of previous accounting and financial analysis experience

  • Completion of post secondary degree/diploma program/Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting, finance or related business subject(s).

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google collaboration tools

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP

  • Accounting designation – CPA

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines and attention to details
