Amazon Software Development Manager, Selling Partner Trust in Tempe, Arizona

As a Software Development Manager on the Selling Partner Trust team you will be actively working on systems and features that accomplish this for buyers and sellers on Amazon.com everyday.

You have great intuition - Amazon teams run like businesses giving you the control to run things the way you see fit, allowing you as a manager to be responsible for your team top to bottom. You enjoy the opportunity to mentor engineers on your team and work hard to see their career grow.

The Selling Partner Trust team focuses on building trust with Sellers via empathetic, consistent, and transparent experiences that helps the Sellers sell on Amazon. Our vision is to provide Sellers with the most trusted experience.

We will be delivering a wide range of automation and experiences using massive datasets and distributed frameworks. You will develop high performance applications and services to facilitate the world's largest selection to millions of customers. We will build targeted solutions that help Sellers improve their performance and maintain the excellent Customer Experience that meets the Amazon bar.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Tempe, AZ, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience

  • 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience

  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
