Robert Half Systems Administrator in Syracuse, New York

Description

We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator located in Syracuse, New York. In this role, you will be providing technical and desktop support for end-users, responding to inquiries, and delivering solutions as necessary. You will be working on system configuration, maintenance, and upgrades while ensuring network security and connectivity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and desktop support for end-users, responding to inquiries and offering solutions as needed

• Handle system configuration, maintenance, and upgrades

• Install and integrate new server hardware and applications

• Monitor for necessary updates and implement them

• Support and administer third-party applications

• Ensure network security and connectivity

• Establish and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords

• Resolve issues reported by end-users

• Maintain and update network policies and procedures

• Specify system requirements and design solutions

• Conduct research and make recommendations on server system administration and changes

• Maintain relationships with all end-users and provide support.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies

• Familiarity with Database management

• Expertise in Active Directory

• Knowledge of Configuration Management

• Experience with Deployments.

Requirements • Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is essential

• Experience in Database management required

• Knowledge of Active Directory is a must

• Ability to perform Configuration Management tasks effectively

• Demonstrated experience with Deployments in a construction/contractor setting

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred

• Relevant industry certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or CCNA would be advantageous

• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues

• Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
