Syracuse University Director, Learning & Development in Syracuse, New York

The Director of DEIA Learning and Development plays a critical role in advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) on campus. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion, the Director provides visionary leadership, collaborative decision-making, and thoughtful oversight of short and long-term professional development opportunities through the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. This includes coordination of the biennial DEIA Symposium and follow-up activities, new micro-credential, and new train-the-trainers program. The Director also provides direction on the Office of Diversity and Inclusion's Core Four curriculum, learning materials/resources, and timely discussions and workshops. The Director supervisors the DEIA Learning and Development Specialist and works closely with other directors in ODI. These efforts help achieve the critical priorities and goals outlined in the DEIA Strategic Plan and Academic Strategic Plan.
