Description

The Senior Technical Program Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical programs for Amazon's web crawling systems. This role will drive cross-team coordination, manage project timelines, and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business goals.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define and drive the strategic roadmap for web crawling programs, aligning with business objectives and technical requirements.

  • Manage the end-to-end program lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure successful program execution.

  • Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks; escalate issues and drive resolution as needed.

  • Develop detailed project plans, track progress against milestones, and provide regular status updates to leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Facilitate decision-making processes, driving alignment and consensus across various teams and stakeholders.

  • Continuously improve processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance program delivery efficiency and quality.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
