To strengthen our team in Stolberg (near Aachen, Germany) we are

looking for an

IT security engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

  • Support the creation and optimization of the company´s information security concept

  • Support the definition of cyber security processes for the corporate IT infrastructure and projects/products

  • Support the definition of hardening document templates

  • Support the definition of cyber security checklists

  • Create, maintain and enhance scripts/applications for automatic hardening of computer systems (diverse operating systems)

  • Hardening of new software and hardware before implementation in corporate environment

  • Support the analysis of new security patches (operating systems, firmware, applications)

  • Support the analysis of BSI Information Security Advisories

  • Documentation and communication of test results

  • Isolation of problematic patches, evaluation of work arounds and alternatives

  • Patch roll-out to corporate IT infrastructure

  • Collaborating with and supporting of project integration specialists in the (weapon) system labs

  • Support the evaluation, implementation and maintenance of information security products (SIEM, vulnerability scanner, etc.)

  • Support cyber implementation in the corporate IT infrastructure

  • Ensure the company´s information security policies are applied in the corporate network

Your profile:

  • Successful completion of an apprenticeship within computer science with several years adequate experience; alternatively Bachelor degree in Information Security, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, other Engineering disciplines or comparable with initial professional experiences

  • Experience in IT system integration and architecture

  • Knowledge in related fields of work would be an advantage

  • Good communication skills

  • Teamplayer and consultant characteristics

  • Good command of the English and German language, both verbally and in written form
