The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Power Systems Division is currently seeking a Lead Application Engineer. This position is part of a dynamic Switchgear marketing team and serves as the technical expert for the application of the Overhead Switchgear product. This role is responsible for marketing, product, and application support in assigned territories. You will also define and serve immediate customer requirements, identify opportunities for new product development, and promote existing products to drive profitable product line growth.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Customer Relationships

• Collect voice of customer (VOC), develop product requirements, and prepare/present business cases where appropriate.

• Perform specification/application reviews to guide the Proposals team in preparing the larger or more complex quotations.

• Support field sales force in cultivating relationships with customers and understanding customer needs.

• Meet with customers at factory to discuss product scope, issues, and innovation.

• Tour customers through the factories as part of customer audits.

• Support analysis and resolution of customer complaints.

Product Management

• Work with Eaton’s field sales force to identify new customer and application opportunities and specify appropriate products, solutions, and innovations.

• Develop promotional material, sales tools, and promotional programs.

• Maintain expertise in utility and commercial/industrial systems, equipment, and application.

• Conduct sales force training on new products and applications.

• Attend industry meetings and assist in development of white papers.

Strategic Marketing

• Identify and analyze opportunities for product innovation.

• Monitor industry trends, application trends, competitive products and new technology developments.

• Participate as marketing representative in new product project teams.

• Participate in developing long term strategies and marketing material for business reviews.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in marketing, engineering, sales, or product support

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future

• Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of South Milwaukee, WI.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is preferred

• Two or more years of experience working with electric power distribution switchgear, applications, systems and standards is a plus
