Job Summary

The Consultant - Microsoft and Software Advisory Service Group is a trusted advisor to our largest clients, helping them optimize their software licensing investments. The Consultant is a tireless client advocate, delivering billable-quality advisory engagements that preserve and enhance SHI’s most prized client relationships. The Consultant works closely with all SHI selling subsidiaries to not only deliver the highest-quality engagements, but also to land adjacent services opportunities.

The Consultant will report to the Managing Director - Microsoft and Software Advisory Service Group.

Responsibilities

Include but not limited to:

  • Deliver billable consulting engagements including activities such as:

  • Perform Baseline assessments, including licensing estate assessments, fiscal cliff analyses, O365 Usage assessments and Azure usage assessments

  • Execute Roadmap sessions with customers to create multi-year technology and licensing roadmaps

  • Create detailed licensing what-if scenarios that align with the business strategy and vision, the customer's budget, and licensing requirements

  • Prepare and present engagement deliverables to client stakeholders, including C-level

  • Work as a key contributing part of a multi -functional team with Sales, Pre-Sales, Project Management and other resources

  • Represent the practice’s consulting approach to customers and prospects in cooperation with our sales and SHI teams

  • Drive adjacent SHI services attach during client engagements

  • Maintain knowledge of current and future trends related to Microsoft, software licensing, ITAM, IT security, digital experience, and automation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent work experience

  • 4+ years' experience working with Microsoft Software Licensing

  • 5+ years' experience Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Visio/PPT and delivering customer proposals

Unique Requirements

  • Position requires 35% travel

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 salary which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
