Role reports to: This position reports into the Vice President Category and Retail Excellence

Location: Kenvue’s corporate headquarters is currently located in Skillman NJ, but is scheduled to move to Summit, NJ in or around early 2025

Travel %: 10%

Pay: $160,000 - $276,000

What will you do

The Senior Director, Global Retail Excellence Skin Health and Beauty is an influential voice of customer and category role within our brand growth segments. This individual will employ advanced analytics and insights to shape and deploy global category vision and leadership, deploy growth strategies and develop our retail excellence talent.

Global Retail Excellence Segment Leadership Role: Candidate Leads overall retail excellence capability for assigned segment including prioritization, workplan, and resource allocation to ensure achievement of 3 Year Operating Plan (3YOP). Ensures Category Visioning and solutions, shopper marketing principles, and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) with Revenue Growth Management (RGM) principles are executed consistently across segment. Manages resources and budget to maximize impact across Brand Development Tables and broader segment with partnership of global segment lead. Leads team of capability experts and resources to deliver key retail excellence initiatives for Brand Development Teams Objective and Key Results (OKRs) and 3YOP.

The candidate is the Retail Excellence liaison for highest priority Brand Development Team BDT within each segment to ensure voice of customer and core retail excellence principles are activated across BDT. Brings priorities to retail excellence squads for alignment and prioritization of work.

In this role, the candidate will lead the Global Skin Health and Beauty Category Insights & Analytics roadmap with a focus on leveraging global to local shopper, category and customer insights and building category leading, consistent brand execution framework fit for use across multiple regions. The Senior Director is responsible for collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure the category and brand solutions are scalable and deliver a clear vision that will drive strategic growth for the organization and our retail partners. This talent will also be responsible for strategy and talent development across multiple need states within a total segment, delivering consistency of category development and retail excellence approach across and unlocking elevated multi-category growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner cross-functionally to define the category and category prototype, informing all downstream strategy and execution components

  • Lead the development of global Skin Health and Beauty Category vision, brand role and execution framework to maximize value creation for our Kenvue and omni-partners

  • Act as “voice of” customer, category and retail trends on brand growth teams - leverage insights to identify growth territories & innovation opportunities, and shape growth plans.

  • Provide oversight across multiple category strategies as segment leader, building consistency in approach, talent development, and Kenvue thought leadership.

  • Leverage insights to shape a vision of how the category is or will be shopped in future: agree how Kenvue/segment/brand creates value in the category & role we play for customer; Crisp & memorable vision how to unlock growth (for key channels, customer)

  • Shape, develop and deploy category growth and brand strategies into global strategic online / offline retail execution framework (price and platform architecture, shopper mission assortment guidance), in partnership with Kenvue lead, design markets and cross-functional partners.

  • Partner with design and lead market category, customer catman teams to deploy retail experience and merchandising executions.

  • Partner with design markets, and business analytics to shape and deliver global learning plan (category, shopper insights) which delivers strong ROI and business results.

  • Effectively manage ongoing Kenvue and category performance analytics – monitor performance against established KPIs and adjust plans as needed.

  • Partner with Learning & Development leads to define Kenvue Category Excellence training and tools and lead the deployment across total segment teams.

  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor respective budget(s) ensuring a strong return for investment.

  • Acquire and attract diverse talent to upskill the organization.

Qualifications

Required Skills / Experiences

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree

  • 12 years of Consumer Products industry experience in Category or Customer Strategy, Customer Business Development, Category Insights & Analytics, and/or Shopper Insights & analytics

  • 7 years of people management experience

  • Budgeting and forecasting, commercial and financial acumen.

Desired Qualifications

  • Direct customer sales experience in CPG is preferred.

  • Extensive knowledge of omni retail customer store operations, structure, strategy, and retail execution tactics preferred.
