The Medical Physicist is involved in the diagnosis and treatment of patients using safe radiological procedures. The position will apply their knowledge of physics to the development and use of medical radiation treatments, devices, and technologies. Major Responsibilities:•Treatment planning for cancer patients receiving radiation treatment.•Verification of calculations and verification of plans.•Implementation of new clinical procedures in radiation oncology.•Performing monthly and quarterly quality assurance and calibration on therapeutic and diagnostic equipment.•Overseeing radiation safety program.•Performing planning review and quality assurance analysis of Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT). •Maintaining quality assurance records and documents for all regulatory bodies and inspections.Employee will be assigned to worksites across the US that are not currently identified.
