Nordstrom, Inc. seeks Technical Program Manager 2 (multiple positions) in Seattle, WA.

Duties:

Manage technical programs of high impact, risk, and complexity. Build and execute integrated development and delivery plans across multiple teams. Provide regular status updates and risk/mitigation strategies and communicate to the leadership. Own and drive multi-year capability road map of software products catering to a critical business function. Define the technical components and associated metrics to monitor/alert/track health of the system. Manage and forecast resources 6 months ahead and highlight needs and capacity variances. Use engineering life cycle knowledge to drive improvements. Analyze user needs and facilitate design, develop, and test software to meet those needs. Recommend software upgrades for customers' existing programs and systems. Document models and architecture diagrams that explain data flow and various components of the system. Plan sprints and run daily scrums, unblock progress. Monitor, prioritize, and triage incidents/issues. Verify and ensure systems meet tech and data compliance requirements.

Telecommuting permitted.

Requires a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, plus three (3) years of experience. Additionally, position requires:

  1. Two (2) years of experience with Software development in a modern programming language: Java, C#, or C++;
  2. Two (2) years of experience with Cloud based DevOps software development; and
  3. Two (2) years of Data analysis experience.
