Amazon Senior Manager, Research Science, Selling Partner Experience in Seattle, Washington

We are the Core Selling Partner Experience (CSPE) team which defines, implements, and enforces quality standards for all Amazon-built experiences for all SPs worldwide.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of cross-functional roles of research scientists, researchers, product managers, and program managers

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of programs delivering survey datasets and correlated behavioral signals

  • Persuade decision makers at all levels of the organization to take aligned action on research findings – inspire and help them internalize opportunities to delight our customers and differentiate our service.

  • Mentor and guide team members to achieve their career goals and objectives

Basic Qualifications

  • Masters in Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of leading and managing teams handling data collection programs

  • Familiarity with large-scale data processing and storage systems.

  • Led research and development of models and science product

  • Educate and evangelize across internal teams on analytics, insights and measurement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Science, Engineering, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative fields

  • Expertise in experimental design, feature engineering, causal inference and/or machine learning based forecasting models

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with others with diverse skill sets

  • Experience with writing academic-styled papers for presenting both the methodologies used and results for data science projects

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $324,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
