Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Engineer with a strong focus in Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, PKI, NPS, and DNS. The ideal candidate will also have a solid background in infrastructure engineering in general. As an IT Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Active Directory and Azure AD environment, ensuring the efficient and secure operation of our systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, PKI, NPS, and DNS services in a hybrid cloud environment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot on-prem Active Directory and Azure AD issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.

  • Collaborate with parallel team members to ensure seamless integration of changes within cloud environments.

  • Conduct periodic audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with security standards.

  • Stay updated with the latest Azure AD methods, services, technologies, and industry trends, proposing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and

    performance.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proficiency in configuring and maintaining Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, PKI, NPS, and DNS services.

  • Solid understanding of on-premises AD and Azure AD principles and experience with migration efforts.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues in complex cloud environments.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Proactive mindset and the ability to independently drive projects and initiatives.

  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Azure are a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

There are 2 main projects that this individual will be working on: The Data Centre exit (this is slated to be ending in August or September of this year), and as that gets over, they will continue on with the AD project which is going 3-5 years. The AD project is relating to the overall azure AD migration. All servers and network moving away, data center exit.

This is a great opportunity for someone to gain experience working for a rapidly growing and expanding, global organization. This is an initial 6-month contract but long-term potential given the 1 project is slated to last 3-5 years.

Work Environment

Working on site hybrid 3 days/week. Based out of the Vancouver or Seattle SSC, but preference is for this person to be hired in the Seattle SSC. There could be some flexibility around the hybrid schedule for the right resource.
