Amazon ADC Engineer, AWS DBS ADC Analytics in Seattle, Washington

Description

This is an excellent opportunity to join Amazon's world class Database and Analytics focused technical team in either Seattle, WA, working with some of the best and brightest engineers and technical managers while also developing your skills and furthering your career within one of the most innovative and progressive technology companies anywhere.

A successful engineer joining the team will do much more than write code and triage problems. You will work with Amazon's largest and most demanding customers to address specific needs across a full suite of services. You will dive deep into technical issues and work diligently to improve the customer experience. By working together on behalf of our customers, we are building the future one innovative product, service, and idea at a time.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

AWS is seeking an Systems / DevOps Engineer to own and advance mission critical services in our Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADC).

About the team

Amazon Web Service is building some of the largest distributed systems in the world. Amazon's database offerings like Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, EMR, RDS, and Redshift are massively scaled services that make up a critical piece of the internet today.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Seattle, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)

  • 3+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows).

  • Experience working with scripting languages.

  • In lieu of above relevant work experience, degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience with cloud computing technologies.

  • 3+ years of networking experience.

  • 3+ years of experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments.

  • Experience automating routine tasks.

  • Experience troubleshooting production systems.

  • Experience with performance and log analysis.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
