Position: Director Software Development & Engineering

Position Location: Scottsdale, Arizona (Remote)

Job Duties:

• Establish and maintain business relationships with key leaders and business stakeholders in the organization.
• Build and lead an efficient team in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications, reports, middleware, and interfaces that support business processes.
• Accountable for the strategy, evaluation and implementation of standards and procedures which support the enterprises application infrastructure aligned to strategic technology vision.
• Engage and ensure effective and strong business relationship with business partners to develop a project portfolio prioritized and aligned with business strategies.

{=html} <!-- --> - Reviews, designs, and implements applications development strategy, governance, and guidelines; ensure alignment with company objectives; collaborate with central IT and internal peers throughout the process.

{=html} <!-- --> - Provides recommendations for improvement of Business Processes by leveraging existing IT capabilities, identifying improvements to existing IT capabilities and define new strategic IT capabilities.

{=html} <!-- --> - Maximizes the productivity of the applications staff and the maintainability of software systems, keeps abreast of new industry technologies trends, developments, and technology innovation, and makes recommendations to integrate technology trends where relevant.

{=html} <!-- --> - Accountable for effective project management and delivery of work requests and projects within committed budget, schedule and quality for individual projects while also meeting overall area performance goals.

{=html} <!-- --> - Hires, trains, supervises, and establishes schedules, work assignments, project plans, career development, performance goals, evaluations, and resolves disciplinary concerns, and/or termination of assigned personnel.

{=html} <!-- --> - Monitors, maintains, and communicates application issues, project progress in accordance with SLA to senior IT and Business leadership.

{=html} <!-- --> - Evaluates and oversees staffing needs to determine use of outside resources in relation to application development. Makes recommendations for re-organization with changes to demand and/or environment.

Minimum Job Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Ten (10) years of IT or relevant business work experience. Five (5) years of leadership experience in managing teams and projects. Five (5) years managing IT in the manufacturing industry. Experience can be gained concurrently. Must have technical and business knowledge in software development methodologies, quality assurance and project management. Understanding of agile methodologies, values and procedures. Knowledge may be gained via coursework or work experience. This is a telecommuting position with remote worksite. May telecommute/work from home from any location in the U.S.

Salary: \$140,000-\$188,469
