What We DoAs an IT Backup Administrator for First American, you are responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of our 100% cloud-based backup solutions. Your objective is to ensure our data assets are backed up, protected from malicious intent, and can be restored as needed. Knowledge and skill will help you troubleshoot and remediate failed backup jobs and test backup integrity. Ambition and creativity will drive you to optimize processes and develop solutions as you collaborate with enterprise stakeholders and team members What You'll Do: Not afraid to go deep, experiment, learn on the fly, and understands urgency. Enjoys finding working solutions to complex business requirements. Has lots of ideas but, is happy to pivot when necessary. Is an active collaborator who seeks feedback early and often. Comfortable working in a fast-paced enterprise environment. Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Backup solutions to our enterprise. Manages the daily, weekly, and monthly backup of virtual machines and data assets on cloud platforms. Restores backups when necessary. Troubleshoots and remediates backup job failures and finds permanent solutions to recurring failures. What You'll Bring: High school diploma with relevant experience. 3+ years of relevant experience with backup technologies. Strong understanding of backup concepts such as, deduplication, encryption, compression, and replication. Hands on experience with cloud platforms. Specifically, Azure, AWS, GCP and OCI. Hands on experience with backup solutions like Cohesity and Rubrik. Familiar with ServiceNow ticketing system. May perform other duties as assigned. Schedule: Candidate must be able to work between the hours of 6am-4pm PT. The schedule will likely be somewhere between those hours. Location: We are open to remote talent. Candidates local to Santa Ana, CA will be required to work a hybrid schedule. Pay Range: $30.55 - $54.31 Hourly This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
