Globant IT Services Corp. DevOps Engineer, Senior Level 1 in San Francisco, California

*JOB DUTIES: Responsible for working with the Development team to setup Continuous Integration, Delivery and Deployment. Coordinate and aim to bridge the gap between computer software development and information technology (IT) operations. Work closely with computer software developers and other IT staff to coordinate and lead code deployments and releases of products/projects. Design, develop and deploy modular cloud-based systems. Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices. Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security. Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues. Lead the IT infrastructure supporting software code in different environments, choosing a suitable deployment model, and implement testing protocols needed to validate project releases. Prepare test data, analyze results, and troubleshoot issues and problems. Perform tasks in all phases of the development cycle. Assess problematic situations to gain adequate understanding of problems involved and deliver complex tasks on time and in scope within the teams plan. Take leadership roles when working with peers and coaches which include junior and semi-senior developers/analyst, perform difficult coding tasks, design and code, complete small software modules and perform code reviews. Collaborate with business, design and technical teams to thoroughly understand market needs and product requirements. Represent the product in the design and development process, ensuring product integrity throughout the product life cycle. Participate in pre-sales and business development actively seeking new opportunities. Lead sound agile product management/ownership aspects and tasks such as vision, inception, product strategy, release plan, backlog management, agile requirements, life cycle management and change management. Serve as client advocate, providing expertise to technical and business audiences to help resolve client or team issues as well as highlighting risks. Participate in coaching and mentoring, follow up, and feedback of team members. Participate in thought leadership exercises and suggest opportunities for improvement. Utilize an extensive range of Google tools for efficient DevOps operations. Coordinate and maintain Atlassian products like JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, and Bitbucket for streamlined collaboration and project management. Work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services, including GCE, GKE, VPC, VPN, cloud DNS, Load balancers, IAM, Artifact Registry, Cloud Tunnel, Secret Manager, Stackdriver, Log-based metric, and Cloud Storage. *REQUIREMENTS: Master of Science in Computer Science, or Computer Systems Engineering and one (1) year of experience in the job or as a DevOps Engineer, Technical Lead, or closely related occupation(s) responsible for working on Puppet and Ansible playbooks to configure and maintain a robust set up Continuous Delivery Pipeline and deploy services including provisioning GCP environments and services including GCE, GKE, VPC, VPN, Cloud DNS, Cloud Tunnel, Cloud Storage, MirACL. Experience must include setting up complex Terraform configurations using go/g3terraform and go/glinda to manage infrastructure as code, deploying application on Linux machines, and setting up Gitlab repository and Runner for build automation. Must have working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases like MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, DynamoDB, and MongoDB, as well as experience creating and maintaining DevOps-related tools and utilizing the following technologies/tools: Docker, Version Control Systems (go/piper, GIT, ClearCase), Azure, Chef, Bash, Python, Shell Scripting, Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic and JBoss. 5% travel required in U.S.
