Description We are seeking a Network Administrator to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves monitoring network performance, implementing software patches, configuring network components, and responding to technical inquiries. This is a contract to permanent employment opportunity, providing the chance to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor network performance and implement software patches and hardware changes to optimize performance and resolve deficiencies.

• Configure and document local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) components, including firewalls, routers, switches, and hubs to meet business requirements.

• Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and provide technical assistance and support.

• Utilize skills in Cisco Products, Cisco Unity, Firewall, Ethernet, LAN - Local Area Network, Routers, Switches, TCP/IP - Transm Ctrl Prot/Internet Prot, WAN - Wide Area Network, VPN - Virtual Private Network.

• Engage in proactive maintenance and management of network systems to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.

• Collaborate with other IT team members and management to determine the future direction of network architecture and solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues reported by users.

• Implement and monitor network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.

• Research and make recommendations on server system administration. Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator, preferably in a similar industry.

• Proficient in handling and managing Cisco Products and Cisco Unity.

• Demonstrable experience with Firewall and Ethernet.

• Proficiency in managing LAN - Local Area Network.

• Familiarity with Routers, Switches, and other related network hardware.

• Deep understanding of TCP/IP - Transm Ctrl Prot/Internet Prot.

• Experience in managing WAN - Wide Area Network.

• Proficiency in setting up and managing VPN - Virtual Private Network.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

• Relevant detail oriented certifications will be an added advantage.
