The Opportunity

This executive will plan and execute activities that directly support the implementation and optimization of an organization’s go-to-market resources as part of the business plan. Responsible for enabling customers (Brand, Line of Business (LOB) Marketing, Member, etc.) to achieve business goals.

Identify resources and skills necessary to support the channel strategy and achieve product sales in the most productive manner. Researches and selects the appropriate mix of distribution channels designed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of an organization’s coverage in the marketplace and optimize its go-to-market resources. Adopts new technology and develops go-to- market, best practice implementation plans, and channel marketing support plans. Responsible for paid media audits, marketing activities controls, marketing-wide contract, and third-party management. Develops recommendations and plans and ensures they are executed.

Monitors results via business plan assessment and through implementing changes to plans to drive desired results. Identifies new/emerging channels, resources and intermediaries and develops integrated strategies, plans and programs to leverage these opportunities.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and communicate the vision and strategy for the Execution Enablement Center of Excellence (CoE), ensuring it enables broader marketing and business goals of the Brand, LOB Marketing and Member teams.

  • Drive excellence in the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns across Marketing LOB and Member channels, ensuring they meet established benchmarks and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize marketing processes, such as contracting, controls, content review & approvals (AdTrax), ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Optimize the integration and management of marketing technology and tools to enhance execution capabilities.

  • Identify, communicate, and action marketing opportunities to better serve internal customers and drive efficiencies.

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure marketing services which entails managing partner relationships, assessing and recommending new capabilities, upskilling media managers, and standardization of marketing tools are meeting or exceeding needs of Brand, LOB Marketing, Member & CoE.

  • Achieve efficient funnel conversion with Digital, LOB Marketing, and Member teams.

  • Lead the partnership with Brand, LOB Marketing, Member, and Data & Analytics to ensure marketing technical builds are delivered on time and align with LOB Marketing and Member pillar needs and objectives.

  • Builds and oversees a team of professionals through ongoing execution of recruiting, development, retention, coaching and support, performance management, and managerial activities.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • 10 or more years of progressive related experience developing strategies, managing major initiatives, and delivering results within a complex matrix environment.

  • 6 or more years of people leadership experience in building, managing and/or developing high performing teams.

  • Experience with leading large-scale projects, collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions, and managing work to achieve strategic goals.

  • Experience in managing and overseeing the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Executive-level business acumen in the areas of business operations, industry practices and emerging trends.

What sets you apart:

  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner [optional]

  • Experience driving excellence in the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns (Owned & Paid), ensuring they meet established benchmarks and KPIs.

  • Experience working with and managing external media partners (e.g., Google, Meta), and analytic vendors (e.g., Neustar, Measured, etc.)

  • Experience optimizing paid media and helping optimize agency engagement model.

  • Experience driving continuous improvement of marketing control/compliance processes to optimize operational efficiency and risk mitigation.

What we offer:

Compensation:

USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $188,330.00-338,990.00.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.

Long Term Incentive Plan: Cash payment for Executive level roles only, representing a cash payment which is both time and performance based.
