The Learning Outcomes Assessment Office leads SLCC's efforts to document student attainment of academic program learning outcomes and to build a culture in which learning outcomes data informs curricular, teaching, and assignment (re)design---all with the goal of improving student learning. The Coordinator helps the Director work with faculty and academic administrators to plan, design, and implement ongoing assessment of student learning outcomes for the improvement of teaching, learning, and instructional programs. The Coordinator makes the work of faculty and departments as easy as possible by helping then with the logistics of assessment implementation and follow through: embedding assessment rubrics in Canvas, developing workflows for ePortfolio assessment, editing reports, creating templates, uploading to websites and data repositories, arranging for time sheets and RFPs as needed, and facilitating meetings.

Assist the Director as they work with faculty and academic administrators to plan, design and implement ongoing assessment of student learning outcomes for the improvement of teaching, learning and instructional programs. Write assessment reports and help departments polish their own assessment reports. Document SLCC's program assessment results on the college's website and in other formats as directed. Develop and maintain a system for communication and documentation of assessment plans, data, and results. Create and deliver professional development training related to learning outcomes assessment. Facilitate the scheduling of program assessment as well as its incorporation into instructional program reviews. Other duties as assigned.
