We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Part-Time Collections Specialist role located in Rochester, New York. The job function entails managing overdue accounts in the telecommunications industry. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for resolving outstanding balances and maintaining accurate records of all collection activities.

Responsibilities:

• Contact customers with overdue accounts through various channels such as phone, email, and mail to secure payment.

• Negotiate with customers to establish payment plans and settlements in order to resolve outstanding balances.

• Investigate and address discrepancies in payments or billing issues to ensure accuracy.

• Maintain detailed records of all collection activities, including communication with customers and payment arrangements.

• Monitor accounts to identify delinquent customers and take appropriate action to collect payments.

• Collaborate with other departments such as customer service and sales to resolve customer issues and prevent future delinquencies.

• Provide regular updates to management on the status of overdue accounts and collection efforts.

• Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations governing collections practices.

• Use accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel to perform billing functions and manage collection processes.

• Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service during collections management.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrated experience in Billing Functions

• Familiarity with Collection Processes

• Proven experience as a Collector

• Knowledge in Credit management

• Excellent Customer Service skills

• Experience in Collections management
