We are offering an opportunity in the transport industry for a Network Engineer based in Riviera Beach, Florida, United States. This role will involve working with various Cisco technologies and maintaining large international mission-critical networks. Apply today for immediate consideration!

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and support of all data communications networks

• Monitor and manage the operations of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN)

• Conduct routing analysis on the design and efficiency of the infrastructure to ensure current and future business needs are met

• Collaborate with senior network engineers to resolve network related issues

• Review products and services to maximize system security, manageability, performance, and reliability

• Act as project coordinator for technical projects of moderate complexity in areas like integrated voice and data, LAN and WAN networks, wireless systems, and related infrastructure

• Prepare operational reports for equipment, network, inventory, and area activity summaries; develop and maintain procedural documentation

• Assist the senior network engineer with developing complex technical specifications for the design or purchase of communications equipment

• Evaluate communications products

• Manage service outage incidents to minimize downtime

• Communicate with affected teams during outages and inform them when the problem is resolved.

Requirements • Must possess expertise in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)

• Experience with Checkpoint is essential

• Proficiency in Cisco ASA is required

• Must be knowledgeable about Cisco Routers

• Familiarity with Cisco Technologies is a must

• Should have a sound understanding of Computer Hardware

• Configuration Management skills are essential

• Experience in Design is required

• Proficiency in Eigrp is a must

• Must have experience with Firewall Technologies

• Cisco CCNA certification is a plus

• Previous experience in the transport industry is beneficial

• Network Engineer job function experience is required

• Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a team and independently when required

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

• A degree in a related field is preferred but not essential

• Must have a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues

• Excellent time management skills are required

• Must be willing to continuously update skills and knowledge as required by the job

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are essential
