VSC Fire and Security

is seeking an experienced professional with experience in estimating and managing commercial and industrial Fire Alarm, and other associated low voltage life safety systems. Turnkey material and installation labor unit take-off, estimating and project management experience is required. The ideal candidate will possess a good familiarity with current technologies, equipment and installation techniques.

This position requires the ability to perform construction estimates to include the appropriate equipment, wiring, raceway, and associated material and labor for commercial and industrial applications and installations. The candidate should have prior experience in the formulation of construction estimates utilizing drawings, specifications, site visits, bid documents and or design build proposals. Estimates will include equipment and material take-off, and the application of labor units / hours as determined by the project requirements, drawings, specifications and or site construction methods.

The candidate should possess in-depth construction knowledge of commercial and industrial building practices as they associate to turnkey installations, as well as the ability to manage the project from conception to completion. A good general knowledge of associated building codes and standards as they apply to the work, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently is needed. DCJS background check and registration will be necessary.
