To enable these capabilities, we are building our commitment to focus on innovations that help our customers solve their problems. This requires awareness of the very complex environment we operate in, an understanding of the data and relationships that exist across federal government and state government agencies, and an awareness of the technology platforms that support the mission. We are looking for experienced professional that has a deep understanding of the information strategy, data governance, data architecture, data management and data quality across several health organizations. The ideal candidate will have hand-on experience leading efforts across health organizations in dissecting data related challenges and building solutions that enable broader views to underlying problems.

Required Qualifications

  • Exceptional understanding of healthcare data and data platforms, data architectures, data strategy and data transformation.

  • Excellent grasp of data governance approaches and extensive experience in building/developing architectures, data assets, models and integrations.

  • Demonstrated experience in data governance and management, development of strategies to enhance data exchange, data quality, and interoperability.

  • Ability to develop strong data models, develop data lineage and data catalog. Preferred expertise with one or more tools used to develop models and lineage including but not limited to Collibra, Alation, IBM InfoSphere, Talend, Informatica etc.

  • Extensive experience in leading data transformation efforts to propel analytics and data sharing across multiple agencies/organizations.

  • Broad experience collaborating in the development of large scale implementations including development of custom data pipelines, data lakes and data warehouses.

  • Capability to develop strong data business cases to address core challenges, present those ideas for stakeholders at an executive level and demonstrate thought leadership to move forward.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering or data centric background with over 12 years experience in data architecture, analytics and governance. Graduate degree preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in Master Data Management (MDM) with proficiency with at least one of the tools mentioned above.

  • Experience working in teams performing data management, transformation, analytics and governance of complex technical projects in healthcare.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Ability to potentially interact with senior staff in the agency and scientific community.

  • Ability to work/ collaborate with different contractor and government teams as well as industry and vendors with a high level of professionalism, good judgment, and tact.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible at juggling competing priorities. Must be resourceful and independent problem solvers.

  • Capable of presenting complicated concepts and course of action to Government and Leidos leadership.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP®) certification preferred.

  • Experience within healthcare domain (preferably FDA, NIH, or agencies in HHS) highly preferred.

  • Exceptional knowledge and skills in data management and familiarity of tools supporting data synchronization.

  • Understanding of cloud based infrastructure supporting data aggregation, processing, storage and analytics.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
