SAIC VP Innovation, Navy Business Group CTO in REMOTE WORK, Virginia

Description

SAIC is seeking a talented, highly motivated, and experienced technical thought leader as the Navy Business Group Chief Technology Office to grow our culture of technical curiosity, continual learning, and practical applications of innovative solutions toward addressing Undersea Dominance, All Domain Warfighting, and critical national imperatives across the Department of the Navy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess current and emerging technical gaps relative to SAIC strategy and identify highest make/buy/acquire ROI options for closing gaps.

  • Evaluate partner capabilities and capabilities of potential acquisitions as part of due diligence.

  • Partner with CTO in managing investment budget in support of SAIC Navy Business Group profitable growth.

  • Partner with CTO providing technical thought leadership for optional support of Navy Business Group strategic programs in execution.

  • Partner with CTO exploring emerging technology in next-gen computing, networking, power, AI/ML, and autonomy.

  • Assist Government Affairs with technical insight/input into messaging and lobbying strategy.

  • Assist Navy Business Group with senior customer engagements for strategic accounts and bids.

  • Assist Navy Business Group with policy approval planning and streamlining for new approaches to data management, networking, zero trust and multi-level security.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and 20 years of related experience or master’s and 15 years of related experience.

  • Direct experience researching, prototyping, and delivering cutting edge technology to the federal government.

  • Direct experience working with and driving change of federal regulations and policies.

  • Working knowledge of cloud, cyber, IT/OT, software development, modeling and simulation, and systems engineering

  • Direct experience preparing for and delivering briefings to government executives.

Desired Education and Experience:

  • Masters or PhD in IT or OT related field

  • Working knowledge of emerging technologies such as quantum computing, GenAI, 5G/6G/ORAN, biotechnology, central bank digital currency, and NextGen power

  • Direct experience working with elected federal officials and associated staff.

  • Direct experience in supporting organizational strategy including technology forecasting, R&D execution, internal stakeholder management, and BD pipeline.

  • Direct experience leading and contributing to large contract opportunities within the federal government.

  • Direct experience transitioning R&D to fielded capability.

CLEARANCE: Active TS/SCI preferred.

Target salary range: More than $225,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
