Scholastic Digital Managing Editor in Remote, New York

Job Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY

This role manages digital content uploads for Magazines+ products, ensuring that new issues are uploaded correctly, web assets are generated, and needs are communicated between product and engineering teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage product strategy for digital magazines, ensuring content updates and implementation are carried out to specifications.

  • Communicate between teams to support regular website maintenance and new updates, and oversee web asset creation.

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support sales initiatives for new and renewal customers using digital content.

  • Coordinate strategic digital responses for customer service channels and social media, supporting customer touchpoints as needed.

  • Develop content solutions that support customer needs and marketing initiatives, managing asset creation and overall implementation.

  • Use analytics, customer input, and other data sources to make recommendations on product improvement.

  • Ensure all digital elements follow best practices in edtech, and share developing trends in education and technology to better support digital strategy

Qualifications

HOW YOU CAN FIT (Qualifications)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with content management systems, and HTML or other programming languages

  • An interest in web publishing, and measuring success for driving digital engagement

  • Previous working experience with digital publishing or asset management

  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies and software is helpful

  • Interest or experience in education or educational publishing is ideal

Experience : 1-3 years related experience in digital media

Education : BA preferred or comparable working experience
