Philips Senior Purchasing Manager in Reedsville, Pennsylvania

Senior Purchasing Manager will lead a team of 10 employees in purchasing, production planning, and order desk for Reedsville PA Ultrasound transducer facility.

This position holder will be responsible for supply readiness for new product introduction, current production, and service life transducers ($105M in annual supplier spend).

In this role, you are responsible for:

  • Establishing department objectives and metrics, for a team of 10 Buyer/Planners/Order Desk to accomplish Ultrasound and Philips Healthcare objectives

  • Managing team and individual performance against set targets

  • Managing overall assurance of supply for all Ultrasound material in accordance with Ultrasound SIOP and NPI projects

  • Providing support of AOS with partner factories

  • Being accountable for Ultrasound raw (purchased) material inventory $$’s and days of supply

  • Developing & monitoring activities for the operational deployment of initiatives

  • Managing escalations and operational activities with supplier partners, as needed

  • Providing guidance and support to NPI programs with pre-release supply (prototype to production ramp-up)

  • Managing Supplier on-time delivery performance (GSRS score) and supply levels

  • Developing policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities

  • Monitoring the cost, schedule and performance against goals and objectives

  • Coordinating purchasing activities working with cross-functional departments to maintain inventories at desired levels

  • Reviewing and approving high dollar purchases up to a specified dollar amount

  • Negotiating major contracts and logistics agreements involving large dollar amounts

  • Chairing Transducer End of Life team to align phase out strategies with factory

  • Chairing weekly Open work order review to ensure none age>60 days

  • Attracting, retaining & developing top talent to support efficient operation of the business now and for the changing business needs

  • Support internal customers and Special projects as required

You're the right fit if you have a customer-first attitude and the following:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration.

  • 7 + years of purchasing experience

  • Experience with ERP: SAP/Oracle

  • Regulated industry experience is a plus

  • Excellent communication and people skills: ability to engage with diverse stakeholders

  • Proven leadership abilities to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams, foster collaboration, and drive accountability for projects deliverables.
