Siemens Energy Product Specialist SIEAERO in Raleigh, North Carolina

A Snapshot of your day

Your day is centered around creating excitement about our new SIEAERO service solution platform and making sure our customers are as excited about our platform as we are.

You are part of the SIEAERO Operations & Execution Team and will be responsible to enable and create new and develop further existing customer leads. Once the projects are secured your focus will be to ensure a great customer journey with our solution taking care to deliver – our service from E2E – meaning be responsible to lead the data acquisition, processing, and delivery of our service, track the status of the customers assigned to you and help them to improve their inspection and asset management processes with our SIEAERO platform. Our service performs smart aerial overhead powerline inspections with helicopters and UAVs carrying the high-end multi-sensor system which was specifically developed to meet the complex requirements.

You will focus on maintaining and continuously improving customer retention to meet long-term recurring revenue goals. For our new customers, you will drive the onboarding processes along project execution, while gaining operational insights on customer value proposition and defining the adoption journey with our customers and our business development.

Work with an exciting group of personnel within the SIEAERO HQ in Europe and the NA OPS Hub to help North America make the transition to digital services in transmission and distribution lines. You will be a component of the long-term service solution to a Greener North America. Working with ultimate technology in smarter and digitalized service for powerline inspections. You will achieve long term success in providing the North American market generational support on the investments made today for our Services provided tomorrow.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You are our SIEAERO platform advocate: Your goal is to enable new customer leads and try to turn our customers into our fans: You onboard our customers on a digital journey, make them excited in using our software platform and help successfully adopting their processes.

  • You are leading our data acquisition and processing and delivery process from the moment the data is acquired in the field until it is deployed and handed over to our customers.

  • You’re the go-to-person for all operational aspects of our digital solution for our customers and further design and refine our customer support concept.

  • You will be working with our customers daily, you continuously strive to optimize our offering by understanding the users and their daily job to be done, how our offering supports them.

  • You share customer insights with our development team and define customer requirements to keep on continuously improving our offering and its acceptance.

  • You support our Global Team in Germany - operations & product managers in validating new features and ideas and get a customer voice on it.

  • You create customer facing material likes tutorial videos and how-to guides.

  • Validate and endorse the technical aspects of the solution offered in the bid with participation on pre-bid approval meetings.

  • Display a prominent level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, sophisticated, and/or cross-functional problems.

  • Work in close collaboration with supply chain to approve sub supplier quotes and request purchase orders.

  • Work closely to Sales team and share project specific lessons learned to eliminate/reduce project Non-Conformance Cost’s.

  • Function as a spokesperson for the organization in community and industry activities to enhance the Siemens Energy community profile, including participation on trade shows and technical conferences.

  • Ability to travel as business requires.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree Engineering or Business; and adequate in customer project management in industrial, preferably utility environments.

  • Experience minimum of at least 3+ years in one of the following: construction, engineering, estimating, contracts management, and or client relations in Utility Sector. Knowledge of either power transmission services, or Renewables and O&M market is strategically vital and is considered as a strong value add.

  • You are thrilled by new technologies; you have profound understanding digital products and digitalization, and you keep an eye on the latest developments in this space.

  • You are strongly solution oriented and customer centric.

  • Know-how in the energy & utilities sector; experience in the transmission & distribution area and grid asset management experience are an asset.

  • You have gained previous experience in managing highly dynamic projects; generating business leads and are willing to dive into this adventure.

  • An Attitude to win – and to drive a team to match winning strategy and attractive offering.

  • Experience with setting up and executing self-perform work.

  • Record of building and delivery of large programs – projects.

  • Experience leading tenders / offers valuing larger $1M or more, including ownership of tenders, client relations and all other scopes relative to large projects.
