BYU Scanning Coordinator - 131006 in PROVO, Utah

Job Summary

As a member of the Creamery team, this position helps ensure accurate pricing, signage and scanning information to help promote a quality customer experience at all Creamery locations, including campus micro markets and Creamery Takeaway. The Scanning Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of Creamery stores visual print image in regards to signage, weekly advertisements, and social media.

 

Essential Functions

  • Electronic scanning integrity of all Creamery retail products
  • Weekly Sales Advertisements and Price Changes
  • Maintain Accurate Store Signage
  • Improvement of Customer Experience

     

Education/Experience

 

Minimum education/experience required:   High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year food or retail experience.

 

     Preferred: 3 years retail pricing experience with Associated Food Stores or equivalent background, 1-year supervisory experience. 

 

     Skills, abilities, knowledge, licenses, certifications:

  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office programs (preferred)
  • Ability to learn additional computer systems such as Infor and Eatec (preferred)
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and maintain a busy schedule (required)
  • Excellent communication skills - this position must be able to communicate professionally with vendors, management teams, and technology support in a clear and effective way (required)

Additional Comments

The BYU Creamery is BYU Dining Services' most easily recognized brand. In addition to the Creamery on Ninth, additional operations include the Creamery Outlet, Wyview Creamery, Helaman Creamery, Creamery Takeaway and Creamery Express Markets. Between its multiple locations, it is a $10 million business and welcomes over 825,000 visitors annually. The Creameries have 30,000-40,000 unique products that each have separate price tags, as well as 1,300-1,400 price changes that occur weekly. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining accurate pricing for all of these items.

Incumbent will be traveling between all of the Creamery operations multiple times a week.

Environment: Periodic exposure to unfavorable conditions. Need to be in variable temperatures or wet environments, etc.
