The Provo Peaks Ice Arena is looking for responsible, diligent workers to fill the role of part-time hockey Instructor to teach and coach at the arena. Qualified, civic-minded individuals are encouraged to apply.

Job Details

Pay Rate : $10.00 per hour depending upon level of skill and experience. (Payment will be by direct deposit.)

Essential Duties :

• Instruct participants ages four to adult in ice hockey from the beginning to intermediate level.

• Assist Recreation staff members and perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements :

• Sufficient amount of related skill and/or experience which would demonstrate an ability to perform the duties of the job.

• Preference given to candidates who have previously instructed or have ice skating experience.

Hours : Evenings and Saturday mornings. Actual hours to be discussed by hiring manager. Physical/Environmental Factor s: This work requires physical strength and agility to perform the work, including, standing and/or ice skating during instruction and minor bending; the ability to work outside in the cold and other weather conditions; and work with the public in possibly stressful situations.

Pre-employment Screening: Prior to appointment, applicant will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
