Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Director, Enterprise Executive and Business Communications, the Senior Manager of Leadership Communications will deliver strategic internal and external communications for the company's Global Business Operations (GBO) and Digital & IT organizations. This role will provide support to embedded communicators within each function to ensure effective change management and communications strategies, tactics, and content. Additionally, this candidate will provide coordination across the team, overseeing and tracking project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner across the team to support the development and execution of strategic internal communications plans for the GBO and Digital & IT organizations, ensuring alignment with overall corporate messaging and objectives.

  • Provide guidance and support to embedded communicators within each function, assisting them in developing and implementing change management and communications strategies, tactics, and content.

  • Collaborate with leaders across the organization to coordinate and develop engaging and informative functional town halls, ensuring effective communication of key messages and updates to employees.

  • Support Executive & Business Communications team in executing external communications for company’s business development, technology and financial efforts.

  • Foster strong connections and collaboration within the communications function, ensuring alignment and consistency across different teams and initiatives.

  • Ownership of managing the team's budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently to support communication initiatives and activities.

  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications initiatives, using metrics and analytics to assess impact and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in internal communications, change management, and the pharmaceutical industry, leveraging insights to enhance communication strategies and programs.

Key Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in internal communications, change management or a related role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for different audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage functional town halls or similar large-scale events.

  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry and its regulatory environment is preferred.

  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute comprehensive communications plans.

  • Ability to foster collaboration and maintain connections in a matrix work environment.

  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in internal communications and change management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.

  • Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
