Job Description

A client of Insight Global's is looking for a Sr Tenable Engineer to lead their VMS team. This individual will be leading a team of 3-4 Tenable Engineers, with a combination of project and people management taking up about 30% of their time. This person will be the SME of Tenable engineering and will be overseeing multiple customer specific projects, running and scheduling vulnerability scans, and coordinating progress while overseeing completion. This person is required to have the understanding and knowledge to stand up a new environment as well as communicating with the end customer to walk them through the steps of this system. To do this they must have an understanding of all aspects of that environment. They must also have a basic understanding of network architecture as well as the integration and interconnection of other API tools, preferably Service Now. This person must be comfortable and confident communicating with C-level clients and professionals.

Skills and Requirements

5-7 years of hands on Tenable experience working

Experience standing up a new environment from scratch (2-3 times with Tenable)

Has experience working with a scan scope of at least 100,000 of IPs

Has stood up environments with agents as well as agent-less

Understands how each element of the tenable platform is deployed for a customer

Understands how to configure access to allow other teams to perform work

Must understand how to build and configure the tool out of the box and implement in a customer environment

Basic understanding of network architecture

Understands how to interconnect with other tools (API Integration) such as Service Now, Okta, CyberArk, Nucleus, etc.

Experience overseeing multiple projects

Experience running and scheduling scans

Ability to manage a team

Good communication

Experience working with CISOs and other high level professionals MS/ME/BS/BE - in Cybersecurity

Rapid 7 or Qualus experience

CEH certification

Licensed tester

CSSP Certification

Any additional technology specific certifications for Tenable Nessus, Qualus, or Rapid 7
