Howmet Aerospace Oracle Functional Analyst in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Functional Analyst with expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite, particularly in the manufacturing and order management domain. As a Functional Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle E-Business Suite solutions to optimize and streamline our manufacturing processes. Your in-depth knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite's manufacturing components and your ability to translate business requirements into efficient system solutions will be instrumental in driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT professionals, and end-users, to gather and understand business requirements related to manufacturing processes.

  • Analyze existing manufacturing workflows, identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and propose solutions that align with industry best practices, business standardized processes, and Oracle E-Business Suite capabilities.

  • Design and configure Oracle E-Business Suite modules specific to manufacturing, such as Inventory, Bills of Material (BOM), Work in Process (WIP), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Quality Management.

  • Develop detailed functional specifications, including workflows, process flows, and system integration points, to guide developers in implementing solutions effectively.

  • Collaborate closely with developers, guiding them through solution implementation, customization, and testing to ensure accurate translation of functional specifications into technical solutions.

  • Conduct system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to verify that the solutions meet business requirements and function seamlessly within the manufacturing environment.

  • Provide end-user training and create documentation to support users in utilizing the manufacturing components of Oracle E-Business Suite efficiently.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing processes and Oracle E-Business Suite configurations in a timely manner to minimize disruptions and downtime.

  • Provide end user support to Engines locations across the globe.

  • Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and implementations, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal impact on manufacturing operations.

  • Assist with rollout and future support of the Orbit reporting tool.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Management, or Management Information Systems from an accredited institution.

  • Proven experience working as a Functional Analyst or similar role, with a focus on implementing and supporting Oracle E-Business Suite solutions for manufacturing processes.

  • Strong expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite modules related to manufacturing, including Inventory, BOM, WIP, MES, and Quality.

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing industry best practices and processes.

  • Proficiency in analyzing complex business requirements and translating them into functional specifications and technical solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, facilitate discussions, and provide training to end-users.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Prior experience in project management and working within an Agile or Waterfall development environment is advantageous.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work independently, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office product suite.

  • Able to travel as projects require.
