Job Description

The Senior Regional Intelligence Analyst directly supports the USMC China Research Group by continuously monitoring reporting and threat streams throughout the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) to produce predictive and current finished intelligence products and coordinate all analytical products for dissemination. The Senior Regional Intelligence Analyst is a member of the community of experts on the China mission set who produces assessments, reports, briefings, threat analysis, and special studies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform as a China /East Asia technical intelligence advisor possessing a substantial experience with the INDOPACOM AOR to include an extensive understanding of the China/ East Asia mission set

  • Define critical intelligence topics, initiate comprehensive or unique research efforts, and analyze intelligence information to assess developments, trends, and threat implications to Marine Corps operations in the East Asia/INDOPACOM AOR

  • Perform all-source research and intelligence analysis to review, assess, and produce intelligence products, position papers, graphic presentations and database entries supporting China/ East Asia requirements.

  • Provide all-source analytic production on issues as related to the China/ East Asia AOR including, but not limited to military capabilities, strategy, doctrine, operations, leadership intentions and decision-making, military leadership, defense and security policies, irregular warfare, civil-military relations, and defense relations with the U.S. and other countries.

  • Collect, analyze, interpret, evaluate, and integrate data from multiple sources in assessing relevance and significance of China/ East Asia AOR developments

  • Plan, coordinate, and synthesize research from other analysts to prepare all-source intelligence products and respond to non-routine problems

  • Provide leadership with analytical findings on data/information gathered

  • Prepare, present, and justify/defend positions on information papers and briefings

  • Drive production requirements leveraging the full spectrum of intelligence disciplines across the DoD IC

  • Assist with identifying intelligence gaps, specify collection requirements to fill gaps, evaluate intelligence collected in response to requirements

  • Maintain liaison with counterparts in other government agencies and ensure coordination with other analysts, as well as other Intelligence commands and agencies

Required Qualifications

  • Possess a Current TS/SCI

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience as an All-Source Intelligence Analyst, Multi-Int Analyst, or Fusion Analyst

  • Strong Intelligence Analysis background with China and/or East Asia experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent
