Insight Global Control System Manager in Pasadena, California

Job Description

  • EMCS Manager (Energy Management Control System) is responsible for monitoring, and performing diagnostic troubleshooting of program issues associated with Niagara N4 / AX, Triduim, and Distech 6001 systems / hardware.

  • Ensures the technicians perform day-to-day troubleshooting of system disturbances and corrections of Energy Management Control System (EMCS) related trouble calls and alarms.

  • Collaborates with the Maintenance Manager and HVAC crafts to solve HVAC/Mechanical issues utilizing EMCS.

  • Ensures the EMCS technicians analyze and uploads EMCS security patches when available and required by customer.

  • Runs weekly EMCS reports to ensure system configurations are meeting contract requirements and fulfill all requirements of EGS operational plans and procedures.

  • Reviews and signs-off on EMCS project acceptance, testing and project close out documents.

  • Ensures all EMCS preventive maintenance was completed on-time and in accordance to code.

  • Assures that all EMCS upgrades/repairs are properly implemented and documented.

  • Ensures that all console alarms are acknowledged and addresses in accordance to all contract requirements.

  • Responsible for and facilitates the weekly meetings.

  • Identify and report out deficiencies or anomalies noted within the EMCS system

  • Runs EMCS reports when requested and makes system configurations when requested.

  • Responsible for the completion of all EMCS assigned RCAs and corrective actions.

  • Work with the MRO group to specify, provide vendor quotes, and information for material and components requested.

  • Maintains awareness of new and emerging EMCS technologies.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned to meet customer critical missions.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, and or Similar Technology degree such as Building / Process Automation -- Preferred but not required.

  • Hands-on energy Management controls systems experience which includes performing troubleshooting and repairs.

  • 10 years' experience as an engineer, or supervisor or manager within a BMS

/ BAS and or EMCS Environment preferably with (5 or more years' experience with Niagara N4, Distech 6001 / 6002, and or BACnet).

  • Certifications will be required: Niagara N4, TCP and Distech 6001

  • Must have the ability to resolve complex EMCS issues that require analysis, evaluation and interpretation.

  • Knowledge of maintenance practices, procedures, work methods, materials, equipment, and tools to operate and maintain the systems.

  • Must have knowledge of computer office operations and work order applications, such as Maximo and Microsoft Office Suite. null
