The Vice President of Data Science and Emerging Technologies is a key leadership role within Infinity Tech that focuses on driving innovation, leveraging data, and utilizing emerging technologies to achieve business objectives. Responsible for Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop a strategic vision for data science and emerging technologies, aligning it with the overall business strategy and goals. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, and technology professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Data Strategy: Define and implement a comprehensive data strategy, including data acquisition, management, storage, and governance, to ensure accurate, reliable, and secure data for analysis and decision-making. Analytics and Insights: Oversee the development and implementation of advanced analytics models, algorithms, and tools to derive actionable insights from large and complex datasets, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. Emerging Technologies: Identify and evaluate emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), blockchain, and Internet of Things (IoT), to assess their potential impact on the business and explore opportunities for their integration. Innovation and Research: Promote a culture of innovation by encouraging experimentation, exploring new data sources and techniques, and staying abreast of the latest trends, research, and advancements in data science and emerging technologies. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and external partners to understand their needs, identify opportunities for leveraging data and technology, and drive innovation throughout the organization. Risk Management: Assess and manage risks related to data privacy, security, compliance, and ethical considerations associated with data science and emerging technologies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of data science initiatives, tracking progress, and communicating results to stakeholders. Industry Thought Leadership: Represent the organization externally as a subject matter expert in data science and emerging technologies, participating in industry conferences, forums, and events, and contributing to thought leadership through publications and speaking engagements. Play a critical role in the weekly managerial training, technical training, and development activities. Attend leadership meetings to provide project statuses, cost margins, future prospects etc. Be a part of the recruitment process to find new talent and groom further. Will play a critical role as a decision maker in hiring and firing of a resource. Supervise and direct 5 data scientists, analysts, and technology professionals. Utilize the following: Python, R, AWS, Kubernetes, Qliksense, Tableau, Alteryx, Hive, Hadoop, Spark, MS Azure, LINUX, MATLAB, React.js, Rest APIs. SQL. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, Information Management, Analytics or related with 1 year of relevant IT experience in job offered or as a Computer/Engineering Professional. Any suitable combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable. Job locations in Paramus, NJ and various unanticipated client sites nationally requiring relocation and travel to these sites involving short and long term assignments.
