Programs:

Supports individuals through direct interaction/intervention to reach optimum level of independence and vocational development through vocational training and positive behavioral supports. Further enhances individuals level of independence through life skills training during Group Training classes. Implements identified goals/outcomes for individuals as directed. Needs to be flexible with change to a variety of work settings and program needs.

Production:

To ensure proper set-up, quality control, and work samples in designated area. Prepare incoming and outgoing products.

Prepare incoming and outgoing products and minor maintenance and operation of Dale Rogers Delivery Truck. Transports subcontract product and supplies to and from DRTC.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (G.E.D., HiSET, TASC)

Experience in light industrial work; warehouse and shipping and receiving

Experience with developmentally disabled population preferred

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

Must be 18 years old or older

Pass OSBI, DHS Registry Check, reference checks, pre-employment drug test and any other background check as Agency requires or deems necessary

Possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma Drivers License in order to operate Agency vehicles

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Safety Sensitive Position Identification: A safety sensitive position (SSP) is a position in which an individual has a key and direct role in an activity where impaired performance could result in:

a serious incident, or an improper or inadequate response to a potentially serious incident.

RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Programs:

Provides direct training for individuals with developmental disabilities for the development of vocational skills using sub-contract work, training modules, and work samples, in assigned area.

Continual supervision and safety of all individuals participating in program areas, during vocational training, breaks, lunches, special activities and group training classes, as assigned.

Sets-up production and flow of subcontract, including quality control checks. Trains and monitors individuals as they perform subcontract work and completes the Work Tickets for work performed.

Implements and documents on individual progress as identified in goals/outcomes, either to specific individuals or in small groups as assigned.

Keeps the Case Manger or supervisor informed of all behavioral concerns. Keeps required documentation pertaining to specific behaviors observed, as directed.

Serves as first level intervention in minor behavioral concerns and documents appropriately. Utilizes positive behavioral supports strategies that are age appropriate to intervene and redirect individuals.

Tracks and documents individuals arrival and departure times on the Daily Attendance sheet.

Production:

Operates DRTC trucks to pick and deliver product and finished goods in a safe manner according to all laws governing the operation of a motor vehicle. Completes the Drivers Trip Record and Vehicle Maintenance Forms accurately and timely.

Removes product from production floors and prepares for shipment. Labels and palletizes customer product for shipping.

Cares for and maintains production equipment.

Performs minor maintenance of the DRTC delivery truck(s), forklift, pallet jacks and production equipment, including tire pressure, oil, water and general cleanliness.

Completes a Property Action Request form for vehicle repairs.

Provides direct supervision of individual assigned to go out on deliveries, ensuring safety at all times.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Normal working hours are from 8:00 - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with 30 minutes for lunch at agency away from individuals. Two 15-minute breaks if scheduling allows.

This position is non-exempt and receives overtime pay at one- and one-half times the regular rate of pay for all hours worked over 40 hours in a workweek beginning Saturday 12:00am through Friday midnight.

This position is classified under Excluded Remote Work Designation less than 10% of job functions can be typically completed remotely based on a 40 hour per week work schedule. Not eligible for remote work designation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
