Global Packaging, Inc Maintenance Mechanic in Oaks, Pennsylvania

We are expanding our Phoenixville PA, and Oaks PA, facilities and are excited to add a Maintenance Mechanic to our team!

The schedule:  

(Night Shift) - 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

  • Work in a 4/3 rotation: Work 4 days, off 3 days, work 3 days off 4 days.

We are seeking to identify a candidate with five or more years of prior electronic, and troubleshooting experience (PLC) ideal but not mandatory. Candidates will have the ability to analyze and interpret blueprints and machine schematics coupled with the ability to evaluate mechanical and electrical challenges to develop and implement corrective solutions and repairs in a manufacturing environment.

The Maintenance Mechanic role will require the selected candidate to perform maintenance and preventative maintenance responsibilities on all operational and facility equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assesses equipment technical malfunctions and troubleshoots equipment and systems, performs repairs, implements technical solutions.
  • Perform specialized and technical maintenance activities on printing presses, bag machines and related equipment.
  • Works with other technicians and operators in troubleshooting and performing maintenance work on printing presses, bag machines and related equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance related to printing presses, bag machines and related equipment.
  • Diagnoses and solves technical, mechanical and electronic problems and malfunctions to a variety of production and plant equipment.
  • Ensures continuous operations of plant equipment for peak performance and to meet customer demands.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Mechanical or electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing field or equivalent education.
  • Electronics preferred PLC a Plus
  • Computer proficiency required in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and in the use all proprietary company and equipment software.
  • Capable of analyzing and interpreting blueprints and machine schematics.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years related manufacturing experience.
  • Trained in all related OSHA requirements, programs and practices.
  • Possesses appropriate mechanical, technical, electrical or related certifications.
