  • Five (5) + years' professional experience in Cybersecurity Engineering support.

Desired Skill Requirements:

  • Experience providing Information Technology / Information Assurance (IT/IA) and Configuration Management support to the NUWCDIVNPT Code 70 Ranges, Engineering and Analysis Department.

Job Duties:

In support of the to the NUWCDIVNPT Code 70 Ranges, Engineering and Analysis Department, provide the following Cybersecurity Engineering support: Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Code 70's computing systems, networks, and data; Patch and take remedial action on Code 70 Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDTE) systems in the standalone, enclave and network environments; Develop Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation (CandA) packages for Code 70 IT systems; Monitor system compliance via provided (GFI) monitoring tools; Implement patches to individual IT equipment as required; Perform scans of systems to detect risks and identify solutions for remediation of vulnerabilities; Monitor system performance and maintain system availability; Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS) on systems as required by received compliance requirements; Research and prepare supporting IA material for Information Technology Procurement Requests (ITPR) including the preparation and submission of ITPRs; Support the Information Assurance Officer in the conduct of training of Departmental personnel in IA compliance; Provide inputs to the Information Assurance Officer in support of the formulation of Departmental IA policy guidance; Develop CandA packages including development of CandA system description documentation, CandA system plans, support and sustainability plans, contingency plans, configuration management plans, privacy impact analysis, and risk mitigation and remediation assessments; Use the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Nessus vulnerability scanner, and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS); Audit IA enabled software in accordance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Education/Equivalent:

  • Bachelor's level degree in Cybersecurity Engineering, Information Assurance, or equivalent experience.
  • Qualified to Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level I at a minimum per the requirements specified in DoD 8570.01M.
