Citigroup Business Technical Program Manager – C13 in New York, New York

The Business Technical Program Manager will support Marketing Transformation & Delivery with planning, tracking, analyzing, and reporting for Marketing’s Technical and Transformation’s Initiatives. The program manager will support the Marketing Sponsors through Citi’s Technology planning by driving the business requirements, obtain technology sizing, collaborate with finance to complete financial impacts and influence control outcomes as well as the financial tracking and PMO efforts for the transformation program. The program manager will assist with the Marketing demand process; this includes responsibility for day-to-day execution work including Tech and Project status deliverables as well as the transformation agenda of the overall group. The Technical Program Manager will drive technology and transformation work against planned deliverable calendars in collaboration with Marketing Product Owners and Sponsors for Work Request submissions and prioritization processes. SAFe Agile experience a plus.

Ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills, superior project management knowledge, and will be able to hit the ground running to provide guidance with the Technical Planning process for the Marketing Book of Work as well as PMO transformation initiatives with strategic direction.

The program manager must be able to operate under the pressure of a fast-paced work environment that could have constrained timeframes with the ability to look at the big picture of the technology need, business impact and understand the financial impact or benefits of decisions for technical and transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the tracking and submissions of Marketing’s Technology Book of Work

  • Provide full PMO support for large scale transformation initiatives that span across Marketing Transformation and Delivery

  • Partner with Product Sponsors/Owners to meet deliverables for work requests in Citi’s Project Tracking System (PTS)

  • Lead Key Initiative deliverables including project status, milestones and meetings

  • Provide support for Investment Planning of Technical Programs

  • Partner and Track and gain approval for financial business case; partner with Project Sponsor and Finance for each Marketing Tech initiative

  • Track Project over and under investment spend, root causes, and partnering with project managers to action as needed

  • Track and update financial benefits of each Initiative; partner with businesses, analytics and finance

  • Drive process improvements to the Marketing demand process through the creation of training and documentation

  • Organize and prioritize business deliverables gathered from Product Owner and Sponsor for the Marketing book of work back log and facilitate submission of key Marketing technical work.

  • Concatenate data from multiple sources to provide leadership with information that can be easily understood

  • Manage meetings between Marketing Product Owners, Sponsors, Technology, and other cross functional teams to problem solve and address any open questions regarding the Marketing Book of Work

  • Inspires sense of shared purpose with Product Owners and Sponsors to complete the needed activities for the Tech Demand Process

  • Analyze results against Plan/Outlook and assess risk & opportunity to support timely business decisions

Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years+ of project management experience in financial services industry

  • Must have experience with tracking projects with financial planning and tracking experience

  • Agile Scrum, Product Owner, and/or SAFE Agile experience preferred

  • Preferred experience driving or supporting Product Ownership related roles in an Agile environment

  • Requires attention to detail and good communication skills

  • Strong ability to problem solve and sense of ownership

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under aggressive timelines

  • Solid communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment

  • Execution and results oriented with a desire to drive change and continuous improvement

  • Technical experience helpful

  • Ability to develop program metrics, locate and aggregate data, create reporting, and disseminate in a way that is easily understood

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, expert in Excel

  • General knowledge of Revenue and P&L calculations

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
